All Things Can Be Yours
My favourite joke: A man lives, as many men do, in a 9 to 5 rat race. But one day, he gets fired. So he prays to God, "Please, dear Lord, help me! Let me win the Lottery." A few months go by and the man loses his house to bankruptcy. Again, he gets to his knees and prays, "Oh, dear Lord, I've never been a church-going man, but if you let me win the Lottery, I promise, I'll start going to church every week." A few months go by. The man is alone, as his wife took the kids and left. He is homeless, and sitting in a park. He is broke. Once again, he prays. "Dear God, I need you. I need your help. I have lost everything and I have prayed to you for help, but you have not answered. One last time, Lord, I beg you... please let me win the Lottery!" As the man is sitting in the park, the sky gets dark and a rumble of thunder becomes audible as a deep, resonant voice that says, "Well, my son... at least buy a ticket!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yeah, you can have anything you want in this life, but if you don't do something to attract it, then your desire for it is like praying to thin air. Make it some kind of priority in your life to fully understand the thing you want. Make a space for it in your life. Remember, "Nature abhors a vacuum." That means that if there is nothing where something should be, nature will fill the empty space. Now, if you fully understand your desire, and if you make your life-space suitable for the thing you desire, then nature will fill it with that object. "Square pegs do not fit in round holes" If your desire matches the object's parameters, then nature has no choice. Simple wisdom, I think.
